welcome Paul Smile if your planning on continuing kitesurfing and looking for people to hook up with. Myself and (Steve) on here are beginners like yourself. So if you want to meet at the beach sometime let us know Smile

Paul I WOULD NOT use that boxer, it is a 'c' it is not the same as what you learnt on. We would also recommend you wear a good wetsuit in the winter, rather than a dry suit.

Hi Paul

I hate the cold water. So I was not looking forward to kiting last winter.

I got myself a Mystic Majestic 5/4 wetsuit from blast last winter.

I went out in bloody freezing cold conditions but I was NEVER cold in my

suit.

It does cost £250 But its worth every penny.

I would recommend that wet suit if you want to keep warm. You get what you pay for !!!

See you on the water......

Hi Paul

There are very good makes of wetsuits out there.

I have only use my mystic one. But it is good. I know a few Kiters use them.

I'm sure other kiters will back me up or advise you on other good suits.

Good luck with picking one...

Paul,

my advice on wetsuits, is to try a few on, each manufacturer is different. One size in one manufacturer is often different to another regarding fit etc. Most importantly with a wetsuit is that it fits properly, not to tight, not to loose. neck entry / back zip is personal preference i think.

as a matter of fact i'm after a new summer suit myself. Fit is more important to me rather than a 'particular' brand. But i will be getting one with glued/taped blindstiched seams - you get what you pay for with wwetsuits imho. My last excel summer suit lasted 8 yrs - it has had a hammering in that time !!!

as for kite buying advice, I'll leave to someone who knows what they talking about (ie not me!!) Smile

You know you have a deal with your lessons when buying gear from us don't u Paul? I would start by looking at possibly getting the same kites as what u learnt on, but then I'm biased :-)
