Just repeating above post.....All flights are the same times, just the different dates/weeks.

Leaving from Gatwick North terminal @ 12.55 landing back at 18.00.

Please allow 3 hours to check in as it can be a nightmare.

Those on the first week we will pick up the vans/cars at Porto airport and then head direct to the villa, the next day we will get the main weekly shopping done.

Those coming on the 2nd and 3rd weeks, we will meet you at Porto Airport and transfer you directly to the villa (or the beach if it's really bangin')

Please note there is no wifi at the house, yup your gonna have to sit and talk to the rest of us! However there is free wifi at the beach cafe at Viana which we generally pick up our emails etc.

Yup, not long now!

Incase anyone needs them the flight numbers are as follows, all flying with easyjet:
Outbound: 8497
Inbound: 8498

For those of you aren't on our flight, the flight DOES NOT include a meal on the plane so it is possibly slightly cheaper to buy a sandwich or something in the airport and take it on with u, or if you're super organised, take own made :-)

Luggage wise we all have 52kgs limit, (32kgs is your kite bag and 20kgs is your suitcase) Ade, you have 2 suitcases at 20kgs each, anyone else find that you need more weight, let me know by Friday the 20th at the latest and I will book more on for you, it's £32.

It can't come quick enough now.. Don't think I have a free day between now and then. Just remembered got to sort travel insurance out too..

Do we need to take our own bath towels ? (not beach towels)

Wifi?! Be nice to have a break from the internet for two weeks. I will bring some cards!  Very Happy

I think bath towels were provided last year although not overly luxurious, probably worth checking though, but us fellas wouldn't notice anyway. But hey drip dry in 5 in the warmth of the early mornings.

Nice to see Ade`s got a full on drinking partner!! Pressure off the rest of us phew.

More important than a washing machine, is there a TV? There's a sporting fixture due to start in Brazil shortly and I'm sure you'll all want to join me in cheering on the only home nation that managed to qualify  Razz

Hi Sarah,

Hope you're on the road to recovery.

Tracy would like to take her mountain bike to Portugal, bagged in a bike bag etc. I am guessing that would be okay as she has a 32kg allowance for sports kit but is not taking any kiting gear. Just thought I would check with you just in case. Pardon the pun!!

Hi Ash,

Think it may be too late to book extra sports bags but will check if it can be changed to a bike bag for you

Thanks Marc, yeah it's not an extra bag it's just what's in Tracy bag as it will be a bike and not kiting gear.

P20, factor 20 all the way. Put it on once in the morning and no need to reapply, we've never burnt using it, only on the bits that we miss  Shocked

+1 for P20, they do SF 20, 30 & 50  Cool

If you wear white, they will go yellow when they get the P20 on it and it will never come off. Otherwise top stuff

Just done ours through the Post Office seemed quite reasonable can get basic cover for two weeks for a couple for under 50£ and includes kite surfing. Didn't look about so don't know if this a good deal.

It can wash off into your eyes from a few wipeouts, I found making sure it is not in my eyeburgs and rinsing out with seawater helped clear it

Hi Paul, yep, don't worry just turn up with your passports I will have already checked everyone in.

Re: insurance please, please make sure it covers you for kiting on the sea, alot of them automatically only cover you on a lake, read the small print!

Probably a good idea to bring some mosquito/insect repellent for around the house and if you want to sleep with the windows open, there are no nets on the windows and the house is in the trees.

I've also just been told that there is wifi at the house, however the housekeeper has to top it up each week so I'm not sure how quick it's going to be, but I guess we'll find out.

That's it all kite stuff packed !! With the wakeboard just in case !!! Just thought it's worth mentioning, check your kites and kit when packing I found a tear in my 7m canopy (same as when I went to brazil but had to send it to Jonnie then)  , but luckily this time I had a kiteaid/fix kit to repair it ! Sarah and Marc sell them,  definitely worth thinking about spare bungs as well , as they come off in the heat. There won't be many spare over there either if you don't have one and will save a lot of heart ache.

Hi Marc,

Will you be taking any supplies of Kite Repair kits/ Valves etc for purchase over there should any one need any? If not how are your current stocks of valves and bladder repair kits looking.
