Righto...hot news!

Tom Butler is on the first two weeks and is going to be available for some 1-2 hour coaching slots during these weeks.

The costs will be minimal!  Cool

So have a think about what you want to work on and we can sort it.
Basic jumps, going bigger jumping techniques, unhooking, rotations, kiteloops etc

I will also be available for coaching but more on the surf side

Get your names down now!

I'd be keen on the coaching, my jumps are still a bit hit and miss, I can back roll one way, but the other side is a little dodgy with the occasional accidental kiteloop affraid At least yesterday I had no accidental kiteloops, so must be getting closer. Then I guess front rolls are on the list. Any idea on the cost?

I could probably make use of some coaching (cue smartarse comment from Marc  geek   ) . I'm thinking more in terms of toeside, jumps, etc, rather than boardstarts, staying upwind, self-rescues etc! What's the damage and do we need to book/pay in advance?

To all that may be interested in coaching... it will be a case of playing it by ear depending on forecast etc. I am happy to do pay as you go by the hour and then if you feel you need more hints, tips and motivation ill stand/ride with you as long as you want ... as long as i get my fix for the day Very Happy
It may be worth having a chat when we get there to see what people want to get out of the sessions and split you into groups, you will then start to learn off each other and progression will be quicker  cheers
let me know what you think.
Not too much longer now
Tom.

Hi All,
Anyone know of any site that do parking at Gatwick Long Stay North where you don't have to leave you're keys?

Even the Gatwick official site states that you have to leave them when you arrive at the entrance area.

Didn't do that last year, kept them with me, maybe I'm just an untrusting BTard.

Not long now!  Very Happy

What wind conditions did you guys get last year?
I know they could be completely different but my biggest kite is a 12 and I'm a pie!(require 20mph minimum to get going)
So I need to decide whether to try get a bigger kite or just take my surfboard and learn how to use that in the lighter winds!

Dunno about last year, but in 2012 we had a few windless days, I used my 14m on a few occasions. I regretted leaving my door at home. Thinking about bringing my 18m this time.

Last year we had wind every day, 14 out of 14, and we used everything from our 5m to our infinity. Quite a few of the guys on the trip used our infinity whilst there and ended up purchasing one on their return. :-)

Hi Paul the flight leaves on 6.7.14 @ 12.55, from Gatwick, u will need to get there about 3 hrs b4 as it can take so long to check in. The flight returns on the 13.7.14 @ 18.00.

Yes you will need insurance AND BKSA insurance. We had a situation last year where, luckily the guy had BKSA insurance.

Hi Sarah. Can't remember what we did last year re: check in...can you send booking ref and I think that's enough to do the check in with Easyjet.

Parking - Last year somebody found a cheap deal with Ace meet and greet parking but no such luck this year, so instead have gone with parkatmyhouse.com for about £38 and have to add 2x £6 taxis.

Can't wait - just wish I could get some more kiting in beforehand!

Just a quick reminder to all...we have a kitty towards food and also a simple lunch..i.e. bread roll with ham/cheese etc BUT it's not a bottomless purse  Wink

If on any of the weeks we go over then we will all have to add to the kitty!

Just repeating above post.....All flights are the same times, just the different dates/weeks.

Leaving from Gatwick North terminal @ 12.55 landing back at 18.00.

Please allow 3 hours to check in as it can be a nightmare.

Those on the first week we will pick up the vans/cars at Porto airport and then head direct to the villa, the next day we will get the main weekly shopping done.

Those coming on the 2nd and 3rd weeks, we will meet you at Porto Airport and transfer you directly to the villa (or the beach if it's really bangin')

Please note there is no wifi at the house, yup your gonna have to sit and talk to the rest of us! However there is free wifi at the beach cafe at Viana which we generally pick up our emails etc.
