So far wind everyday and very warm, water is fine in rash vest and shorts (too hot in shorty)
Looks very windy here again today with wind forecast for the rest of the trip hopefully.

I really love this place, such a great place with such great people.

Conditions here are simply amazing too. Our house balcony looks over both the sound and the ocean....flat water one side waves the other and warm enough for shorts/rash vests.

Today was pretty amazing again, downwinder in the ocean followed by a few hours in flat shallow water.

We're back......minus all our kite bags which are still with Virgin Airlines somewhere. Hopefully they will arrive today.
(They wouldn't fit on the small connecting internal flight from Norfolk Virginia)

Another successful and truly cracking trip, great conditions with some of the best flat water in the world and waves just a few hundred metres away on the other side of the island...awesome group too with massive progression from all.
Missing the crew already.
This trip we had some of the warmest conditions we've had there and only needed shorts and rashie to keep the sun off.

Roll on Portugal

THE BLAST

Well I'm back, but without my luggage. But that don't matter, because I had the time of my life !!! Very Happy  Very Happy

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marc and Sarah for organising the holiday. Perfect!!!

I would also like to thank every body who went for making it such a Blast.

What a place to learn new skills and new tricks. In warm and safe location. (Hatteras)

I have progressed from a sea drinking, head dunking, kite crashing beginner. To (and I quote from Mark

and Sarah) "A kiter"... I still do the above, but now its with style !! scratch

Being in Hatteras I had the perfect opportunity to try out dozens of new Epic kites.

Before i went, I thought a kite was a piece of material which was kept up by the wind.

How wrong could I be. After testing the Epic kites my eyes are open !!! Shocked

Don't tell my wife but I fell in love with the Epic Surf Kite............... Embarassed

Hey Tony,

Just phoned Virgin.
If you go to

http://www.citybagsluggage.co.uk/

type in your PIR and surname, and it should tell you the delivery status of your bag. Smile

I got my bag about half an hour ago!

Simon's bag is still on holiday.

Sarah, I can't thank you enough for all your hard work organising this trip. I know it's been a pain at times, and some people have been a pain at times (e.g. my own inability to pay you correctly). Thank you as well for keeping us fed and organised.

Marc, thank you for the driving, the photography and all the hard work you've put in to the trip.

It was great to try out the Epic Kites and it was nice to ride with Dimitri and see the legend in action!

As for the rest of you, it was great to meet you all. You're an awesome bunch of people and I hope to see you at a local beach sometime, and/ or on a future trip!

*fist bump* y' all

They tried to deliver Simon's bag, but there was nobody in. At least that means it's in our general area and can be redelivered.

So is that all the bags found? Happy ending?

My impression of the second video compared to the first is that the colours felt a bit over bright. Other than that I liked the second one slightly better. It's hard to say though. Could be my screen.
