PostSubject: Surfboard Advice Wanted   Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:11 am

Hi all,

I am looking for some advice for my mate's son who is looking to get into surfing after trying it in Wales last summer.

He is 5' 11" tall and weighs about 11 stone.

He wants something that is ok for beginners but being a 16 year old it also has to look cool. He isn't into slashing up the waves so would want a longer board rather than a short board. Something easy to paddle and catch the wave but also exciting to ride.

He tried one of the foam type boards from a hire shop but soon got board with that, excuse the pun.

Are there any surf shops in the Cardiff/Porthcawl/Swansea are or does anyone have a suitable board for sale in good nick.

Any advise appreciated.

Cheers,
Ash.
