Hey guys,
I met Sarah at Rest Bay earlier and keen to set up some lessons! I did an introductory course about a year ago but haven't been able to do much since, so keen to get my confidence and skills going again. LOTS of refreshing needed! I've got some gear and a warm suit because I'm a woos, but am ready to go! Look forward to meeting some experts and beginners as well...
Jess.

Hi Jess. Glad to see another newb from Cardiff. Water is way too cold at the moment for me to pick things back up, especially the way I left things last year... constantly ditching my Kite Haha. Bring on spring!

Hi! Excellent! Another person to be dragged, face planted and behave like a general rookie with! Considering I'll probs spend most of the time under water, I'm game for spring. It can't come soon enough! Are you still having lessons or confident enough going solo now?

Hey Jessie, there's quite a few of us based in Cardiff, welcome to the gang.
As to the face planting etc, we've all been there, all part of the curve, and when all's said and done feeling the force of the water/wave is fantastic, even if you're trying to go the opposite way Very Happy

Thanks kitesmurf! Look forward to seeing you on the water. I'm determined to get to that stage. I felt it briefly when I first had a go and it's addictive!

Jess I had the 2day lesson last year and managed to get a few sessions in before work generally took over my weekends. So I am definately still at the face planting rookie stage, but looking forward to progressing (fingers crossed) this year Very Happy

Fingers crossed for all our beginners to get back out on the water in the not to distant future, the air temp is starting to warm up, slightly, we just need the water to start warming up to!

I'm just back from Tarifa and managed to do a bit of kiting so now super keen to get going! I'm looking for some second hand gear as well if anyone has any tips?? What make of kites do people usually use around here? Would be good to get one that's popular so easier to get repairs etc.... Also any suggestions on size would be good... I'm split between here and Kenya so ideally one for both conditions!!

Take a look at our website Jesse, also at the 2nd hand thread on here. Give us a shout if anything takes your fancy. Ideally you would have a 9m as your main kite and then a 7m as your high wind kite. We have several kites 2nd hand and boards.

Hey guys I am jumping on this thread as it would be great to team up with some other newbies. I was starting to get the basics down a few years ago but haven't managed to get on the water for a year. It would be nice to have some company to encourage more outings this year.
