This was the kite I learnt on (wipika) back around 2000, scary times!

I like how the primary concern they have is about not having perfected the board yet "but we all ride Wipika or Naish wings".

So when did the control system we use now come about and who first introduced it?

Naish brought out the first 4 line kite ie with depower (although very little difference)
When I started it was only Wipika...then Naish then more and more over the next few years.

Guys,

I bought a job lot of skating.surfing stuff off ebay a while back from a shop that was closing down, because it had some kitesurking stuff in there which made it worth while.

It had some brand new kitesurfing books in there from North detailing the evolution of kitesurfing and its equipment. Nice coffee table book fair play with lots of great photos and info

Its this one here http://www.edgeriders.com/north-kiteboarding-true-10-years-of-north-kiteboarding-book-at-edgeriders-2012-snowboard-kite-wakeboard-shop.html

If anyone is interested, Im selling them off for £15 (plus delivery) or meet me next at the beach...

This is the same kite and board that I learnt with. (actually I used an old surfboard first which lasted all of about 4 weeks)
