I know everywhere takes visa, so I should imagine they would take MasterCard, but it's not a tourist area so I wouldn't like to say yes and then u find out that they don't.

Clothes should b fine, there is a washing machine so u can always take less clothes and just wash them.

I have asked the woman who owns the villa to buy us a few supplies for breakfast Monday morning as when we arrive Sunday evening the supermarkets will b closed.
The money in the food kitty is usually enough for breakfast, lunch (who ever is first up usually goes to buy fresh baguettes every morning to make rolls to take down the beach) and dinner every night. Sometimes there's enough left over to pay towards our meal out on the last night to:-)

Hi guys,

Thought I should introduce myself to some of you as I am a late addition to the trip for the first week.
Anyway I'm Tim and I was hoping to share a lift to and from the airport with someone if possible?
If anyone has a space to and from Gatwick for the first week that would be great, Cheers.

Getting excited now, not long to go Very Happy

Hi Gusj,

A lift from Cardiff would be great, I am in north wales but used to live in cardiff and so could stay with a mate there the night before as i guess we will be leaving pretty early to get the flight.

If you pm me your phone number I will give you a call to arrange the details, I am happy to split fuel parking etc.

Cheers,

Tim

Looks like its just me and Russ travelling out week 2 so far. Where you travelling from Russ? I'm in the midlands (Coventry). I guess the chances of another kitesurfing nut based in the midlands and going to Portugal week 2 are just a bit remote!

So i have just applied online so hopefully it will come before I go but for anyone else who may not know or theirs has expired its worth checking http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about-the-ehic.aspx

Kind regards

Hi Mike, good call!
I checked on the situation with the van we are using and there are only three seats in the front and bulkhead with no windows in the rear so no go anyway.

Just to mention that the price of the flight does Not include food, u can buy sandwiches etc on the plane, at stupid prices. We usually buy them at the airport and take them on the flight with us.

Hi Marc and Sarah. I sent the £70 waiver to your bank this evening. Let me know it went in ok.

Wondering about cash - I was going to take about 200 to 250 euros - how much do you reckon well get through? roughly how much for the kitty etc?

Basically you won't need much $ as food is in the price but ..........booze isn't.
Petrol for the cars will be needed but not that much as split between us, so erm just lunch and drinks I guess.

No need for sleeping bag, sheets will be provided.
Take a towel though.

1st trip abroad, wow Mike you must be buzzing!!!

There is usually enough in the kitty to buy fresh baguettes every morning to make lunch, so unless u want to buy drinks, desserts etc at lunch then u won't need much money.

Hello mate yep I'm afraid I live in Kent - although you were close as originally I'm from down the road from you in Rugby! Let's exchange mobile numbers by PM and get in touch at Gatwick, flight leaves at 11:40 so I'm aiming to be there sometime before 11.

Hi Russ, not sure where u got the flight departure time of 11.40?! It leaves at 12.55 and u really need to be there 3 hrs b4 as the last few years it has been chaos and we were still waiting to check in when we should have been boarding!

That's weird, according to their website I could have sworn it said 11:40 earlier! My mistake, never mind, ok I'll be there at Gatwick North on Sunday 30th by ten to be sure.

Do I owe you some money for this waiver thingy, or shall I bring it in cash? Don't mind.

Hey Neil, yup t can be cross off right at the top end of the bay but just move down the bay a little and it's fine, basically the thermal wind mainly follows the coast.

Andy replied to pm cheers
