Hi all,

Just introducing myself. Basically, I'm new to the Bristol area after leaving London. Been kiting the past year at Camber Sands and now searching for a new spot to explore with Rest Bay looking to be at the top of the list! Kited Gennith last August and that was sweet, but looks like a good couple hours drive unfortunately!

All being well though I will be out in the next couple of weeks and may see you out on the water then!

Cheers

Hi Tom
welcome to the forum and the area.
You'll find the crowd here very easy going and a very freindly bunch.

There are plenty of kitesurfers from Bristol who kite in Porthcawl and Aberavon as well as the Gower and Pemebrey so I'm sure you'll meet up with them soon enough.

Porthcawl is the nearest spot over the bridge for you but best to avoid 2 hours either side of high tide as there wont be any beach left!

Keep an eye on the forum and meet up with everyone soon.

Marc

Hey to a fellow Bristolian! There's quite a few of us who pop over the bridge on a regular basis, you can cover pretty much all of the wind directions if you do Smile. You do need to be prepared for 1-2hours driving each time though, and watch out for match days because then the M4 gets jammed, with queues all backed up on the Severn Bridge as well. Go early on those days!

See you around Smile.
