Yep, the dates are definately as above, we're just in the process of sorting a price etc for a trip to Morzine, half board in the chalet that we've used before. We should know later today :-)

La plangne is an awesome huge and hi resort, if there is good snow I know some decent off piste runs.

my eldest daughter Emily will be short cable car away in les arc working this season so prob do a day or so there which I know like the back of my hand.
I am also a past qualified snowboard instructor so am able to help with fine tuning hints and tips etc
All levels welcome

Come on do it!!

Plans have slightly changed for the January dates. We've managed to find a cheaper trip to Italy, £371, to Passo Tonale. This includes Flight and half board accommodation. The lift passes are cheaper in the Italy, approx £180 instead of £210+ in France. Let us know asap if you would like to join us.

Booked 4 of us on this eve for the Jan Trip and plenty spaces if any more interested?

£371 for a week snowboarding inc Half Board, Transfers etc oh and expert off piste guiding by me!!

Approx 6-10 people up for the Feb trip

Sitting at the top of the Passo Tonale, this is another resort that offers year round riding thanks to glacier access (Presena). Passo Tonale is part of the Adamello ski area that includes the Presena glacier, Temù and Ponte di Legno. Passo Tonale is a good bet for some summer action as it is rarely busy but has good conditions. In winter it is also quiet mainly due to the lack of big tour operators. This means smaller lift queues and quiet slopes. The 80 km of pistes at Passo Tonale are spread over the ability range and should keep most people happy. Snowboarders will love the terrain, if only there was a park and pipe.

here is a report from one of the snowhead guys at les arcs

Friday 16th: Blimey - what a day. Today reminded me of a scene from a war film when everyone is being evacuated from somewhere … 100mph winds are being recorded on the mountain tops and gusts topping that as I speak … Frozen Planet may as well come here and pretend this is the North Pole I tell you … temperatures have dropped immensely - about minus 10 and lowering all the time.... with this snow and wind it is only going to make matters worse…
Sat 17th: Well I’m knackered. Not only did I have to dig out path out then I had to did the front door to our chalet out... now that may not sound too much of a big deal until I tell you that the front door is actually semi-enclosed INDOORS… They have just managed to get one of the beginner lifts at the very bottom of the mountain open but that is it. The pisteurs have been blasting as if it were World War 3 out there and you can hear natural slides rumbling around town all the time... the PIDA has been called to focus on protecting the actual village before any consideration to opening any slopes is concerned. As far as I am aware Fornet etc is all still cut off and all the restrictions that have been in place the last 24 hours still remain in place… most of the town is getting back to normal and I think they will reopen the road to Fornet later on... there was a 100m wide avalanche that had closed the road off and the snow was over 3 metres deep across the road…
Sunday 18th: guess what... yep its snowing again. Much harder than I thought it would have been as they were only talking about snow showers this morning but it is more than a flake or two... perhaps another 5cm overnight. Officially we now have had more snow in the last 2 weeks than fell in the whole of the second half of last season alone... we really are shaping up for a record Winter as a new storm is building for delivery from tomorrow night for 24 hours or so...
