Yeah, Pembrey at 9 then (although I might get down earlier if it's windy when I wake up) - I park in the free car park at the end of the little lane.

Where abouts do you fly at Pembrey? (Never been..... can't see an obvious spot on Google earth...) Does it work at high tide? We might head down a little later, if its worth it....... Or might try Llangennith....... Deffo gonna get wet

Pembrey - Turn left off the main road as directed by the brown sign for the County Park. The road bends round to the right and over a narrow bridge. Then follow the long straight road until it starts to bend right. Theres a left turn here - take it and drive past the small car park on the left. Follow the narrow lane right to the end car park (you'll know when you get there as there's a sign with a big "F" on it and someone has helpfully added "ly" under it!) - then it's a walk through the dunes to the beach. Alternatively you can enter the Park itself and park there - but you have to pay for that, and to be honest, the south end of the beach is where you want to be. Can be a monster walk to the sea (and back) when the tide is right out but Pembrey works on all tide states. Shallow beach usually means nice big flat sections between any waves and waist deep water for a fair distance out... shit loads of room on no nasty walls/rocks/etc on the beach makes launching and landing hastle free. I guess the only drawback is that it can be a very quick moving tide making marginal onshore conditions with an incoming tide difficult to stay upwind and get away from the beach.
