i went out for a session on my local common in some of the worst winds ive flown in for a while, then to top it off after about 30 minutes i snapped a truck on my board. not good Crying or Very sad

the only upside to it was i finally had a session on my 10m vegas and was surprised how stable it was in the gusts. even during the loftings i was able to get some float on the way down and didnt just drop like a sack of spuds.

Yes broughton but towards the old lighthouse where the pines are, tides fill a massive sand gully to make for amazing flat water session. I parked in the carpark down from the church with the honesty box. I am in Uni today but might make it down later if ther winds stay good

How do you get to that car park then? Is it far to walk to the beach from there then?

Ended up at broughton for a few hours yesterday. Wind was up and down, gusty towards the shore, and the water was a bit choppy further out.

Still, felt great to finally get back out on the water after over a week and a half without a session. Lets hope this high pressure breaks next week. I'll be taking a day off as soon as it does!

Wen't out at Swansea beach (Sketty lane) as there was more easterly, but had the same problem too gusty, gutted to see the windsurfers plaining and getting upwind while I was floundering downwind towards mumbles, not enough volume in my board to chase the shaddows, come back westerlies before I change sport once again

Rich,
I'd hang fire before taking the week off, just checked again and the bl**ding forecast is showing it dropping from the other day. Not happy now. At this rate going to have to start doing DIY, I need to get away!! Cheers Scotty

Not taken the week off yet. I'm fairly lucky with a reasonably understanding boss, so I can leave it until the last minute to book time off. A bit of forewarning doesn't go amiss though. I'll probably just take the best looking day next week and save some hols some nukkin winter action!
